It was Easter Sunday, and two youngest children got up to find whether the Easter Bunny had been hopping around the garden and leaving Easter treats. Two older children looked wistfully on at what they had grown out of, but fortunately there was plenty to go around.
It was a stunning day, so we piled into an assortment of cars and headed off to Nobby's Beach which is not far from the centre of Newcastle.
A few hardy souls in - mainly wetsuits. Then we began the walk out to Nobby's Lighthouse - a round trip of 3 km, so we wore off a bit of that chocolate! |
Apparently this breakwater was built by early convicts, but proved so beneficial to shipping that it has been well maintained. There goes another ship by. Some of them are carrying (((coal)))) |
Claudia, Millie and Simon begin the trip back down from the lighthouse. Such a clear, bright day. |
