After the retirement of Louise, my cleaning lady of 16 years, we endured a year of no cleaning lady. It meant that having people round to dinner was very difficult as it was masses of cleaning AND all the cooking. While visiting Anne in hospital last year I was bemoaning our loss of Louise, and Heather who is in our book club said "Pick Me". And so from this year we have Heather Cochrane as our cleaner.
She does things a bit differently from Louise - and so it is such a surprise to come home and see what she has done. I know you will all be thrilled to hear that this week I came home to find a pile of items from the pantry and a note: "Now Gwen, a bit of homework for you. All these items are out of date. Go through them and see if there's any you want to keep." Needless to say I was shamed in to chucking them all out!
Hurrah for Heather, achieving what we could never achieve. Looking forward to seeing the pantry with food we can eat in it
ReplyDeleteI like this cleaning lady! Did she do the fridge too? It must look like you have no food now!
