A nice leisurely start to the day , but then I decide to do a load of washing and change the sheets.
Meanwhile Duncan is off to the final day of the golf. Duncan's group includes a Japanese gentleman who resists speaking English until he wants a ruling from Duncan on his ball and a sprinkler head. Another player is Michael Hendry who eventually comes third. The last player was James Nitties who had quite a few queries for Duncan. Duncan stays to watch the exciting finish when Matthew Griffin, coming 2nd , sneaks in with a birdie on the 18th.
Duncan is pleased to be able to relax again.
Duncan has decided not to play the Hills as walking the course twice has persuaded him that the course is indeed quite a challenge.
The weather forecast for Tuesday looks bad so after one last visit to the Arrowtown Wool shop we decide over morning tea to head off to Dunedin today so we can pack up day.
It doesn't take long for us to get on the road and we make our first stop for lunch just out of Roxborough by the monument dedicated to all those who died in the Great Snow of 1863 which makes a change from the Great War 1914-1918 .
Down passed the narrow hydro lakes , then gradually the landscape changes. We have a cuppa at Lawrence and then on to Dunedin where we parked the caravan on the road outside Jill and Rua's.
Jill has a lovely meal of wraps ready for us.
